A partnership between Religious Community Services and the Craven Arts Council & Gallery, this uplifting tradition — 15 years in New Bern — brings together local businesses, artisans, and community members to fight hunger and support the arts—all with a bowl of soup and a handmade treasure in hand. Ticket holders may select bowls at either the Potters' Throwdown or the Empty Bowls event (not both). Those that select bowls at the Potters' Throwdown may use their ticket stub as a $5 coupon to participating restaurant; those attending Empty Bowls may use their coupon for two bowls of soup at the event.
